I moved my blog to my own host. This will let me do whatever I want instead of working within the limitations of wordpress.com. Let’s see if I actually do anything :)

My new URL is http://www.johnwayner.com.

See you over there :)

A few months ago a friend and I were discussing how to get more edge brownies out of a batch. We ended up with an idea for a pan exactly like this:

Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan

Well, looks like someone made it. They better not get rich off this thing or I’m going to be pissed! On the other hand, now I can have lots of edge brownies and I didn’t have to do any of the hard work :)

Sorry, Fritz, no center for you! Hahahahahaahah

Rainy Day
Looks like I’ll not get to play disc golf today :(

Went to Buca di Beppo last night. These are the cannolis I was talking about, Susie.

Well, I’m home now. Sorry the trip wasn’t more interesting :) I’ll keep updating this blog as things happen, or when I’m bored or lonely :) :) :)

Well, I’m done perturbing Susie and Fritz’s routine. I’m heading back to Texas today. I thought about going the long way, but I’m really just ready to go home. I guess I’m a crappy traveler. Maybe I’m just getting ready to get back to a regular routine. Six weeks really is a long time to have off with nothing in particular to do.

Fritz (brother-in-law) and I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure today. I have to whole-heartedly recommend getting an Express Pass if you go to these parks. It allows you to skip past all the non-Express Pass people. Yeah, it’s classist, but there’s a certain joy in jaunting past everyone to the front of the line. We were able to do everything we wanted to do in both parks in one day because of the pass. And since it was Tuesday before summer, each pass was only $35 which is about the same as two people eating lunch in the park — totally worth it.

Best rides include The Hulk, Dueling Dragons (ride both sides; if you can only do one, Ice seemed better), and The Mummy.

The worst: Dr. Doom is a total waste of time. If I had waited 30 minutes to ride that, I would have been totally pissed! Back to the Future is closing down Friday (I hear) and I’m fine with that. Of all the things I rode, it’s was by far the most likely to make me hurl. You just sit in a car and watch a move, but the car moves on pneumatics that are so herky-jerky that I was having to close my eyes and focus on not losing my lunch. Oh, I lost my sunglasses on that freakin’ ride, too :(

I was lazy and didn’t take any pictures. You’ll just have to use your imagination :)

Action photo of an Astro swinging at a pitch

I went to another spring training game yesterday. This time in Kissimmee — the Astro’s home for spring. It was a good game, but the ‘stros blew it in the 9th inning, losing 7-5. I took some action photos that can be seen here.
